Our second family camp was held at Cockatoo Island over the weekend of the 10th March 2018. There was much to do on the island that appealed to all interests and ages. After an afternoon of exploring, dinner was enjoyed along with some impromptu ball games.
Energy, enthusiasm and the way of all balls led our ball into the vast waters of Sydney Harbour.
What to do?

A wave from the shore caught the attention of a passing boat willing to help restore the ball to land.

Some skillful manoeuvering soon returned the ball to its relieved owner.

And all’s well that ends well.

I have to say, there was frantic gesticulating to several passing boats and a ferry. It was only the last passing boat, as the sun was setting, that stopped. He must have been a Scout!
Also, you may have noticed that the Scout Leader is coming last in that race home! I’m sure that was at the beginning of the race when I gave them all a head start….
