Our APLs and trial APLs took on the challenge of cooking a three course camp meal as part of their green Adventurer award level.
The meal had to be packed as for an overnight hike and couldn’t have any sausages or Deb included, which is often the default meal for many of the scouts when they go camping.
Our Scouts certainly rose to the challenge, creating great menus and cooking their entire meal over fire and coals.
Stand outs included chocolate cupcakes cooked in oranges, chicken stew, cheesy fries, bacon wrapped chicken…
and chocolate and strawberry French toast.
…There was even time for knot practice!
